Our state of the art facility was designed with the aim of delivering unparalleled retinal care to our patients in a modern and comfortable environment. The equipment was selected to maximize and enhance patient care with the latest effective diagnostic and treatment measures.
High Definition Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT):
This latest generation of OCT utilizes an advanced technology to precisely image the retinal tissue in ultra high resolution. This translates in practical terms to the ability to diagnose at an earlier stage of the retinal disorder. In many cases, earlier diagnosis and treatment leads to better outcome. The HD OCT also requires less testing time for the patient, and is more comfortable than previous generation OCTs.
Digital Fluorescein Angiography:
Infrared capture technology and high resolution optics diminishes the bothersome bright lights during testing for the patient, while achieving a greater level of resolution than previous technology.
Digital Indocyanine Green Angiography:
Highly effective in imaging the layer beneath the retina, the choroid, which may be important in some variants of macular degeneration, and choroidal disorders affecting the retina.
Digital B-Scan Ultrasound:
High resolution sonogram that is utilized to evaluate in cases of intraocular bleeding, trauma, tumors, and when the view of the retina is obscured by a corneal scar or extremely dense cataract.
Solid state green 532 Laser:
Retinal laser surgery is highly effective when indicated in conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, retinal detachment, retinal vascular disorder, and macular degeneration. Our state of the art retinal laser is coupled with our digital imaging system to deliver surgical precision in the hands of Dr. Glatman.
